Position Requirements

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited program is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in toxic tort litigation, including cases related to asbestos, talc, benzene, mold, or similar issues.

• Proficiency in preparing legal documents and discovery requests/responses, summarizing medical, employment, and military records, and assisting in trial preparations.

• Experience in trial preparation is advantageous.

• Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are essential.

• Familiarity with iManage is a plus.

• Attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities are crucial.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative is required.

• Experience with e-discovery and document review platforms such as Relativity is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review records, exhibits, and medical documentation for trial.

• Liaise with external sources (government agencies, etc.) to gather public information and conduct analyses.

• Search and retrieve data from court-related databases and other online case information sources.

• Summarize relevant transcripts and compile chronologies of key facts and documents.

• Review and organize document productions from opposing parties and co-defendants.

• Prepare materials for expert witness evaluations.

• Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses.

• Manage documentation and organize case files efficiently.

• Monitor and review third-party eFile/eService databases.

Compensation is determined by various factors, including experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market demands, and other business needs. The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses. This is a full-time position that qualifies for benefits including a 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
