Job Summary

This position plays a vital role in helping perform complex specialized tasks, operating fluoroscopy, computed tomography, laser, and ultrasonography equipment during vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures, patient teaching, and assisting with patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate schedules to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow for procedures in the Interventional labs.
  • Obtain optimum quality and accuracy of images for invasive procedures, including arteriography, insertions, perm catheter placement, stenting, dialysis dicots, thrombolytic procedures, and angioplasty.
  • Operate and manipulate Special Procedures equipment and its components, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Assist in scheduling patients for procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies, equipment, and previous films are available for the Interventional Radiologist.
  • Operate a variety of fixed and portable radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment throughout the hospital, including surgical suites and intensive care units.
  • Demonstrate competence in performing assigned patient care responsibilities, meeting the age-specific and developmental needs of patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 12 months of training/experience in special procedures preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiology required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Post-Primary Pathway in Vascular Interventional Radiography certificate required within 2 years.
