Job Title: COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. in New London. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation therapy team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop strategies for improving functional abilities.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions, such as exercises, activities, and modalities, to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Minnesota.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a rehabilitation therapy setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with patients with SNF experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software.
