Job Title: Kennel Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving individual to join our team at VCA Shaker Animal Hospital as a Kennel Attendant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the kennel area, including cages, bedding, and equipment.
  • Provide fresh water and food to patients.
  • Assist with laundry and dishwashing.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum hospital premises.
  • Stock treatment areas with medical supplies.
  • Assist veterinarians, technicians, and assistants with daily tasks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in animal care or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
