About the Employer
We are a unified school district serving over 16,000 students in grades K-12. Our district comprises thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools, and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses, and other unique programs to cater to the diverse needs of our students.

We employ approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Our district is centrally located in the East Bay, providing easy access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites, and the Pacific Ocean.

As a Merit System District, final selection of our classified staff members is made from candidates who have been placed on an eligibility list. Eligibility is determined through an evaluation and competitive screening/scoring of a candidate's training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the supplemental questions.

Job Summary
We offer a notable 22% salary increase for employees since 2021. We recognize all years of teaching experience for optimal placement on the salary schedule, ensuring maximum earnings.
