Position Overview
The Electrical Systems Planning Specialist will provide technical expertise and engineering guidance to enhance operational efficiency within the organization. The role involves leading initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, boosting reliability, and elevating customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize engineering methodologies and analytical tools to assess the performance of electrical systems and formulate strategies for enhancing reliability, minimizing expenses, and improving service quality.
  • Design and implement plans to leverage investments in Smart Grid technology to streamline operations.
  • Conduct data analysis to gain insights into electrical system performance; employ advanced technology for data extraction, transformation, database management, and report generation.
  • Refine operational processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and coordinate operational projects, addressing logistics, resource allocation, operational conditions, analytical frameworks, and necessary modifications.
  • Establish metrics to ensure that identified improvements are quantifiable.
  • Collaborate independently and within teams, taking on roles as a team member or leader as needed.
  • Investigate emerging technologies in the utility sector and provide recommendations to leadership. Monitor and assess customer needs, inquiries, and feedback.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.) from an accredited institution in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by 5+ years of relevant experience or training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level, along with a solid understanding of data systems and computer software.
  • Expertise in database analysis and reporting tools for managing and interpreting large datasets to draw conclusions and devise improvement plans.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading projects to completion within budget and on schedule.
  • Experience in electric utility operations and technology is advantageous.
