Responsibilities
  • Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and the interdisciplinary team to effectively plan and manage the unit/department.
  • Serves as a role model for staff and supports the hospital and nursing department's goals and strategies.
  • Prioritizes patient care in an ongoing manner in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.

Education Requirements

A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing is required for this role. Additionally, candidates must obtain temporary or permanent licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license and maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
