About the Role

Cortica, a leading provider of advanced neurological therapies for children with autism and other developmental differences, is seeking a skilled Behavioral Therapist to join its team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.


Your Responsibilities:
  • You will provide direct implementation of behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in various settings, including one-on-one and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Fulfill documentation requirements, including data collection, session notes, and assessment procedures, to ensure accurate tracking of progress.
  • Work closely with families and supervisors to establish a supportive environment that fosters treatment and education across all settings.
  • Follow established crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies, first aid, and mandated reporting.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with families, colleagues, and the public through written and spoken communication, as well as adherence to professional dress and demeanor standards.
  • This role requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for extended periods; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally may be required.

Your Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human service field (or related field) or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree; students enrolled in undergraduate studies will also be considered.
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain the BCAT credential via Cortica's training program within the first 45 days.
  • Availability to work varied schedules, including some evenings and late afternoons.
  • A valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
  • Proficiency in software and systems, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information is preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $20.57 to $27.60 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience, education level, and location.
