About the Role
The Audit Senior is a key member of our team, responsible for leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored audit services.
- Evaluate and improve internal control systems, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing recommendations.
- Prepare and present audit reports, financial statements, and other deliverables to clients.
- Manage engagement economics, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective budgeting.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments, applying this knowledge to improve audit processes and client services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of recent public accounting experience.
- CPA certification or significant progress towards certification.
- Experience working on employee benefit plan audits and knowledge of applicable DOL, IRS, and ERISA regulations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, effective listening skills, and analytical and problem-solving ability.
