Our expertise spans various areas, including electrical demolition, temporary power, distribution, lighting, wiring devices, branch circuits, equipment connections, communications equipment, access control, AV/IT, and other electrical quantity takeoffs and associated pricing.

The Electrical Cost Estimator plays a crucial role in providing accurate cost information to stakeholders, enabling informed decisions regarding project alignment and budget management.

Job Description:

  • Documentation Review and Comprehension: The Electrical Cost Estimator reviews construction documents, ensuring thorough understanding and application of technical specifications.
  • Customer Kick-off Meetings: Participates in customer kick-off meetings for new projects, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Quote Generation and Supplier Interaction: Responsible for generating questions for clients and quotes needed from suppliers, maintaining positive working relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Quantity Take-offs and Pricing: Executes quantity take-offs for estimating from narratives, paper drawings, and software OST, Sage, BIM, and more, performing necessary math to quantify, price, express, calculate, compare, compile, adjust, etc.
  • Pricing and Unit Assignment: Assigns unit pricing based on appropriately adjusted historical data and quotes.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Influence: Effectively communicates with and influences multiple stakeholders from different functions, across all levels of the organization.
  • Estimate Input and Reporting: Inputs and summarizes estimates using a standard format, delivering reports and following-up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Closure and Documentation: Collects and documents required to closeout items and participates in closeout efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience: Required for this position.
  • 3+ Years' Experience: Including estimating or other relevant field work.
  • Familiarity with Building Electrical Systems: Essential for success in this role.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required tools.
