We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Foreman to join our team at The General Ship Repair Corp. in Baltimore, MD. As a Machine Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising the repair and maintenance of marine equipment, including propellers, engines, and other mechanical systems.
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- SUPERVISE THE REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF MARINE EQUIPMENT.
- EVALUATE PROBLEMS AND DEVELOP SOLUTIONS FOR COMPLEX MECHANICAL ISSUES.
- MANAGE A TEAM OF MACHINE SHOP WORKERS TO ENSURE PROJECT DEADLINES ARE MET.
- DIRECT THE INSTALLATION, DISMANTLING, REPAIR, REASSEMBLY, AND MOVEMENT OF MACHINERY.
- ENSURE ALL WORK IS PERFORMED WITH CLOSE TOLERANCES AND ACCURACY OF +/- 0.003 INCHES.
