Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Administrator to join our team at Crowne Plaza College Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and mailing daily statements to clients
• Accurately posting City ledger payments and processing returned checks
• Clearing "comp" accounts and verifying division/account numbers
• Preparing weekly reports and logging advance deposits
• Responding to guest inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
• Posting all charges and rebates, and writing up banquet check logs
• Auditing and logging missing banquet checks, and reviewing credit verifications for direct bill accounts
• Completing no-show invoices and ensuring accounts are written off if not paid within thirty days
• Sending invoices and group billings over $1,000 by certified mail within one week of the event

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year experience in Accounting functions
• High work ethic and self-initiative
• Ability to complete complex financial accounting calculations and analysis
• Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
• Efficiently operate a ten-key calculator and a computer keyboard
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite
