Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic III - Thermoforming Operator to join our team at Baltimore Aircoil. As a key member of our PVC Department, you will be responsible for operating thermoformers and secondary machines with moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Thermoformers: Run all thermoformers with moderate supervision when necessary, ensuring efficient production and meeting productivity requirements.
  • Secondary Operations: Perform all secondary operations, including changing molds and making set-ups with assistance.
  • Skid Building: Build skids at an efficient rate to meet productivity requirements.
  • Paperwork and Record-Keeping: Complete paperwork associated with the department, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • 5S and Housekeeping: Maintain and sustain 5S standards in the department, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flex to other departments upon need of schedule, demonstrating a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Goal-Oriented: Strive to meet weekly goals, contributing to the department's overall success.
Requirements
  • Language Skills: Must have a working command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Math and Measurement: Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
  • Instruction Following: Understand, remember, and execute simple instructions.
  • Teamwork: Able to work in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Blueprint Reading: Able to read blueprints that are used in the department.
  • Communication: Accept instructions and respond appropriately to criticism from supervisors.
  • Adaptability: Maintain socially appropriate behavior and adhere to basic standards of neatness and cleanliness.
  • Hazard Awareness: Respond appropriately to changes in the work setting and be aware of all hazards related to the department.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of skid building, crating, and job paperwork, as well as familiarity with ISO procedures of all PVC operations.
Working Conditions
  • Temperature Variations: Temperature conditions vary widely with the outside temperature.
  • Extended Hours: Work extended hours as needed.
