Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations.
- Formulate diagnoses and provide patient counseling on treatment strategies.
- Prescribe medications in compliance with Florida regulations governing ARNPs.
- Execute minor surgical interventions as permitted by the supervising physician.
- Coordinate referrals for patients needing specialized services not available at our facility.
- Review and manage incoming medical reports (e.g., laboratory results, imaging studies) promptly.
- Engage in community outreach and off-site health initiatives as directed by the Medical Director.
- Oversee the training of students in clinical settings as assigned by the Medical Director.
- Adhere to the health center's Infection Control Plan, ensuring universal precautions are followed by all staff.
- Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and clinical meetings.
- Assist in the development and revision of clinical protocols and best practices.
- Engage in pharmacy-related activities as appropriate.
- Support external medical public relations efforts.
- Share on-call responsibilities with physicians.
- Meet UDS productivity standards and fulfill minimum performance expectations.
- Contribute to safety programs, which may include participation in emergency response teams.
All healthcare providers are expected to engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the clinical environment.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited ARNP program.
- Licensure by the Florida State Board of Medicine.
- Current certification from the National Commission for the Certification of ARNP.
- Eligible for malpractice insurance coverage.
This position is primarily based at the clinic. The clinic does not provide professional liability coverage for additional employment.
