We are seeking a board-certified physician to join our team as a wound care specialist in Augusta, GA. As a key member of our outpatient wound care program, you will work closely with vascular surgeons to prevent amputations and provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care and coordinate with vascular surgeons to prevent amputations
- Develop and implement a new program for amputation prevention in collaboration with vascular, endocrinology, internal medicine, family medicine, and wound care teams
- Participate in marketing our wound care program within the community and collaborate with the manager of outpatient wound and hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Board certification in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Postgraduate fellowship training through an ACGME-accredited program
- Experience in managing diabetes and patients with a high risk for amputations
- Wound certification desired, but can be obtained within one year of hire date
