Hanco EMS is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulette Driver to join our team. As a key member of our medical transportation team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to their destinations.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Services: Provide safe and professional transportation services to patients, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Trip Reporting: Accurately complete all required trip reports, including obtaining signatures and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Restock supplies, sanitize and disinfect vehicles, and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
- Debriefing Sessions: Participate in regular debriefing sessions to discuss runs and company business.
- Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with job-related updates in pre-hospital procedures and regulations, and participate in monthly training events or CEU classes.
- Vehicle Inspections: Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections, and become knowledgeable on the placement of all equipment.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and no major convictions within the last five years.
- Healthcare Certifications: Hold current certifications in Health Care Provider CPR and one of the following: Basic First Aid, First Responder, or Ohio division of EMS certification of Emergency Medical Technician Healthcare Provider.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting 75 pounds or more, and pushing/pulling patients in wheelchairs.
- Experience: Possess experience in transporting clients, preferably in a medical setting.
