Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

At QualDerm Partners, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our dermatology team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of educating, protecting, and caring for our patients' skin.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting area to the exam room.
  • Take patient's history, determine chief complaint, verify medical and surgical histories, current medications, etc., and take vital signs if applicable.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or surgery, reviews and completes required surgical documents prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence and determines needed services per practice protocol.
  • Respond to patient communications, contacts patients regarding test results and schedules further surgical treatment(s).
  • Give injections, assist with examinations and office procedures as needed, and provides other patient care services as directed by the Medical Providers.
  • Perform suture removals as directed by the Medical Providers.
  • Effectively use EMR system to document patient records using proper English grammar, spelling, and syntax.
  • Verify all patient/specimen information corresponds with tissue specimen(s), records tissue specimen(s) and enters them into log.
  • Assist with exams, biopsies, surgeries, and excisions, and assist with bringing up pictures on iPad and drawing blood.
Requirements:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse Certification required.
  • One year medical experience in a physician's office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred; will train a highly-motivated new hire.
