We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Engagement Specialist to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our outreach team, you will be responsible for connecting with youth ages 18 to 24 in the community and promoting our WIOA Youth program.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Outreach: Identify and recruit eligible youth for the WIOA Youth program through various community outreach efforts.
- Service Connection: Help connect youth to services such as career exploration, paid internships, skills training, and career services.
- Community Engagement: Develop and implement creative strategies to engage with young adults in the community, including community events and street-level outreach.
- Program Promotion: Promote the WIOA Youth program through various channels and serve as a liaison for youth service information.
- Referral and Follow-up: Make referrals, assist with service linkage, and educate youth and community agencies on how to access and use community resources and services.
- Supervision and Reporting: Attend scheduled supervision meetings to discuss participants' progress and provide regular updates on program activities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Three years of experience working in recruitment, sales, or community development, with a focus on youth engagement and outreach.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and strong communication skills.
- Other: Valid driver's license, good driving record, and insurance required; bilingual a plus.
