Job Summary:

Palisades Tahoe is seeking a reliable and efficient Transportation Driver to transport guests to and from the resort area using 25 to 40 passenger buses. The ideal candidate will provide top-notch customer service and ensure the safety of our guests.

Job Details:
  • Seasonal, part-time positions available supporting Palisades Tahoe transportation team.
  • Role may be exposed to winter weather conditions while on the job.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provide customers with exceptional customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
  2. Inspect vehicles for safety, including brakes, mirrors, and fluids.
  3. Drive 25 to 40 passenger buses with automatic transmissions.
  4. Clean and fuel vehicles.
  5. Remove snow from vehicles using shovels.
  6. Chain up vehicles when weather and road conditions are hazardous.
  7. Rebuild tire chains as necessary.
  8. Assist with loading skis on buses.
  9. Assist with traffic and emergency flares when conditions warrant.
  10. Complete legibly all Company, State, and federally required daily paperwork.
  11. Compliant with all State and Federal regulations related to commercial operations.
Competencies and Job Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills, oral & written.
  • Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time.
  • Work well as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One to three years driving experience preferably in a snow area, even if not commercially qualified.
  • Have a valid Commercial License with passenger endorsement.
  • Current DMV printout (dated within the last 30 days) from the state where license was issued showing clean driving record for last 3 years, or if less than 3 years in the same state, a print out from the state prior to current one covering the period required.

Must be capable of occasionally lifting and pushing or pulling 30 lbs. or more.

Must be capable of climbing movements, walking on uneven terrain, and walking on snow and ice.

Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, and crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.
