About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Counselor to lead our overnight camp program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing sports activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our campers, and promoting a positive and inclusive camp culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver sports programs that cater to the needs and interests of our campers.
- Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment for our campers, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective camp program.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our campers, parents, and staff.
- Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Minimum age: 18 (per New York State Health Department)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current certification in Responding to Emergencies and CPR
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting and in inclement weather
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
