Application Specialist

Lunar Energy is a pioneering company in the clean energy sector, dedicated to transitioning homes to 100% clean energy. We're seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist to serve as a vital liaison between end product users, installers, and our Engineering and Operations teams.
This role involves leveraging customer feedback and sales data to design, develop, test, and implement sophisticated hardware and software solutions. The successful candidate will provide technical support and expertise to ensure that applications meet customer needs and address common challenges.
The Application Specialist will have a critical, cross-functional role, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality hardware products and a world-class experience for both end customers and installers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software engineers to validate FW releases, track product health, and identify failure and pre-failure telemetry signatures
- Work with a team to train customers on our products and services
- Develop processes to remotely troubleshoot issues, approve hardware replacements where appropriate, and facilitate Engineering teams to root cause returned merchandise
- Handle project and task management, ensuring the quality of work performed by team members
- Craft detailed business cases, and market and product requirements to drive prioritization with program management, engineering, and commercial teams
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with sales engineering, application engineering, or product management in the energy sector
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience developing or commercializing energy products, including solar, energy storage, EV charging, or other power equipment products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
