Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Library Materials Specialist to join our collection department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of departmental priorities, plans, policies, and procedures, as well as evaluating library collection services needs and ensuring alignment with the library's vision and goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement departmental priorities, plans, policies, and procedures
  • Evaluate library collection services needs and ensure alignment with the library's vision and goals
  • Manage the selection, acquisition, and maintenance of library materials

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent
  • Minimum of three to five years of related work experience
  • Minimum of two to five years of supervisory experience
