Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive treatment services, including assessment, medication management, and the determination of hospitalization when necessary.
- Conduct routine, intensive, complex, and emergency evaluations for a range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders.
- Provide ongoing care for patients with chronic conditions and acute complications, such as psychosis, substance use disorders, and organic brain syndromes.
- Contribute to the growth of the department with a particular emphasis on the geriatric demographic.
- Focus primarily on outpatient services while possessing current knowledge and experience in inpatient care.
Position Details:
- Full-time opportunity with weekly rounding responsibilities.
- Work within a 53-bed inpatient facility, averaging 20 adult and geriatric cases daily.
- Patient referrals come from various sources, including emergency rooms and outpatient clinics.
- Direct reporting to the Chief Medical Officer.
Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in Behavioral Health.
- Possession of an active state medical license or the ability to obtain one.
