About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform treatment sessions with patients, ensuring a safe and effective therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, promoting patient progress and independence.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, documenting patient progress and making recommendations for treatment adjustments as needed.
  • Supervise and train therapy technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience working with patients of diverse ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift patients and assist with transfers, as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
