About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Kinderhouse Montessori School. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of our age-appropriate curriculum, preparing and organizing learning materials, and supervising children during all activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of lesson plans and educational activities
  • Prepare and organize learning materials, including educational resources and equipment
  • Supervise children during all activities, including meals and naptime, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
  • Monitor children's progress and development, and communicate with parents and colleagues as needed
  • Collaborate with other educators to create a harmonious and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center
  • Prior experience working with toddler and preschool students
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, such as a laptop computer and tablet
  • 12 Child Development Units, including 3 units in Infant and Toddler coursework (required by the State of California)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners
