About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescription requests and build trusted relationships with customers
  • Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and resolve issues to achieve the best outcome for customers
  • Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information
  • Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining inventory levels, and rotating and stocking drugs and supplies
  • Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices
Requirements
  • Computer skills and ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • State-specific certification or registration may be required
  • Preferred qualifications include experience ordering products, controlling inventory, and pharmacy technician certification
