Job Summary

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Distinguished Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in software engineering and solution architecture.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and contribute to the development of next-generation technology solutions. As a Sr. Distinguished Engineer, you will be expected to:

  • Drive the adoption of modern technologies and share consumer and engineering benefits to gain buy-in
  • Strike the right balance between lending expertise and providing an inclusive environment where others' ideas can be heard and championed
  • Promote a culture of engineering excellence and reuse solutions where possible
  • Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform, or capability domain
  • Lead the way in creating next-generation talent for Tech


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 9 years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture
  • At least 5 years' experience with public cloud technologies


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, a Master's Degree and additional experience in software engineering or solution architecture, public cloud technologies, and enterprise platform solutions would be beneficial. AWS Certifications are also a plus.
