Job Summary:
Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse LPN to provide high-quality care to a medically fragile child in their home. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will work one-on-one with the child, providing personalized care and support to help them thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the physician's prescribed plan of care for the child
- Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care with the healthcare team
- Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies as needed
- Document care provided in a timely and compliant manner
- Provide health education and training to family members
- Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required, and obtain co-signature from Case Manager
- Follow up with the physician, client, family members, staff, and Case Manager on client problems, concerns, and changes in client condition
Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
