About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time position, totaling 40 hours per week, with cross-coverage responsibilities as needed. The successful candidate will be assigned to various school and outpatient locations in Suffolk County, with some travel required between sites. The role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents presenting with immediate psychiatric distress, as well as routine assessments. Additional responsibilities include managing short-term treatment interventions, offering school consultations, delivering professional development for school personnel, and acting as a liaison between the clinic and community, including local school districts.
Duties:
- Providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents, including diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning.
- Collaborating with local school districts to provide consultation and support, ensuring effective integration of educational and clinical efforts.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop individualized treatment plans.
