Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Interview patients, explain procedures, and prepare them for examinations.
    • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the scanning process.
  • Scan Preparation and Execution
    • Schedule tests and determine the most appropriate protocol based on patient history and physician orders.
    • Conduct CT scans, acquire images, and review them for quality and accuracy.
  • Image Analysis and Reporting
    • Send images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for review and verification.
    • Assist radiologists in interpreting images and providing diagnostic reports.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety
    • Maintain accreditation status with the American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.
    • Ensure compliance with radiation protection standards and guidelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field preferred.
    • Registration and certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Advanced certification in computed tomography (CT) from the ARRT expected within one year of hire.
    • Proven experience in CT imaging and patient care.
    • Strong knowledge of CT exams, interventional procedures, and radiation protection principles.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced radiology environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
