We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Wellpath, providing comprehensive psychiatric services to incarcerated patients. This is a part-time, on-site position requiring a strong commitment to providing compassionate care and sound clinical judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and monitoring of psychotropic medications to inmate patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure uniformity of mental health services and documentation.
  • Supervise and oversee psychiatric nurse (if applicable) and provide consultation/training services to mental health and medical staff.
  • Participate in involuntary medication of high-risk inmates and document psychiatric services contacts as requested.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Doctorate in psychiatry.
  • Training and experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population.
  • Physician licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry.
  • CPR Certified.
