Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physicist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure accurate and safe radiation therapy treatments.
  • Supervise and review the work of dosimetrists, ensuring that all treatment plans meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in research protocols and contribute to the development of new treatments and technologies.
  • Provide training and education to residents and students on the principles of radiation oncology and treatment planning.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in physics or engineering, with completion of a training/residency program or a Master's degree in an accredited Medical Physics program.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification (ABR) and/or graduate of a Medical Physics program preferred.
