Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team at North Cook Intermediate Service Center & Regional Office of Education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Algebra, Geometry, and Middle School Mathematics in a small classroom setting
  • Implement individualized programs for students in the Alternative Education Program (AEP)
  • Provide instruction in specific skill areas to a diverse student population
  • Assess student learning and utilize a variety of teaching techniques/modalities
  • Engage students in the learning process and maintain up-to-date and accurate records
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid and current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Mathematics
  • Preference given to applicants with multiple Illinois State teaching endorsements and/or experience working in innovative programs

The North Cook Young Adult Academy is a high school with a diverse student population. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for the Mathematics Teacher will be based on the applicant's experience. This is a TRS position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
