Job Summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team at the Starship Launch Pad. As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and replace defective electrical components and fixtures
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, devices, and equipment
  • Install enhancements and major upgrades to electrical subsystems
  • Test electrical circuits to ensure operability
  • Install electrical components to architectural and code specifications
  • Test wiring connections with test equipment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at a rocket launch facility and supporting launch campaigns
  • Experience with SpaceX electrical systems
  • Master electrician license
  • Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to complete assigned work
  • Ability to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair various devices
  • Ability to use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Demonstrable knowledge of electrical codes, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and reports
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments
Additional Requirements
  • Journeyman or NCCER industrial license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent overtime and weekend support
  • Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
