Job Overview

A Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that guest accommodations are kept clean, organized, and welcoming. This position involves daily servicing of guest rooms, maintaining public areas, and adhering to hotel standards and safety protocols. Additionally, the Housekeeper may engage in deep cleaning tasks and preventative maintenance as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly and service-oriented demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Ensure consistent attendance in line with company standards, adapting to the hotel’s scheduling needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including proper uniform and identification display.
  • Follow company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparation of housekeeping carts with necessary supplies.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest accommodations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • May require disassembly of furniture or items in guest rooms for deep cleaning purposes.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may involve changing air conditioning filters, cleaning coils, touching up paint, and addressing any maintenance issues.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and evaluate various courses of action swiftly.
  • Capable of performing well in high-pressure situations.
