The primary objective of the Construction Project Supervisor is to ensure that all projects adhere to Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC's standards and specifications.

This role involves effective coordination with subcontractors, labor teams, and site logistics to guarantee that construction timelines are met. The Construction Project Supervisor must maintain clear and timely communication with Project Managers and Engineers regarding project progress and any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction projects related to the installation of photovoltaic systems, battery storage, microgrid, and other onsite energy solutions.
  • Manage subcontractors and labor teams to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate logistics for materials and equipment in collaboration with the Project Engineer.
  • Ensure labor production goals are achieved and maintained.
  • Facilitate communication to confirm that subcontractor and vendor work aligns with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to uphold project schedules and financial plans.
  • Prepare three-week project forecasts for Project Managers.
  • Engage with Engineering and Estimating teams to provide insights on estimates, costs, and best practices.
  • Prioritize safety, quality, production efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and job hazard assessments.
  • Actively participate in Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC's safety initiatives.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to secure all necessary inspections and ensure quality documentation of physical work.
  • Manage changes in project scope and communicate these to subcontractors and Project Managers.
  • Maintain comprehensive daily documentation, including field reports and schedule updates.
  • Organize project documents in designated folders on shared drives.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in general construction, with at least 1 year in solar photovoltaic projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • An electrical background is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and a large workforce effectively.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage essential job functions.
  • Capability to maintain project documentation on-site.
  • Proficient in scheduling and coordinating site activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented, capable of thriving in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, ensuring high standards of communication.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with racking systems, panels, inverters, wiring, interconnections, and related technologies is beneficial.
  • Must be prepared to travel to remote sites and stay for extended periods when necessary.
