About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Molecular Biology Researcher to join our Protein Engineering team at Dreamforce Services Inc. as a Senior Research Scientist. This is a 12-month assignment with a possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute molecular biology experiments, including DNA cloning, PCR, and sequencing.
  • Develop and optimize DNA-related workflows to support protein directed evolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance protein engineering capabilities.
  • Analyze sequencing data using software such as Geneious.
  • Document experimental results and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biological science or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in molecular biology, or an MS degree with 2+ years or PhD in a molecular biology related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in various molecular biology techniques, including DNA cloning, PCR, sequencing, and bacterial transformation.
  • Expertise in DNA sequencing technologies and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with molecular biology and analysis software (Geneious, Benchling, etc).
  • Programming skills (Python, etc).
  • Experience in protein directed evolution platforms (phage display, yeast display, mRNA display).
  • Experience with high-throughput screening and automated liquid handling.
