Job Title: Radiology Technician

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Medical City Alliance. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technician will be responsible for conducting radiologic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis. This includes operating x-ray equipment, performing x-ray/fluoro procedures, and explaining procedures to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
  • Perform x-ray/fluoro procedures on patients under the supervision of a Radiologist.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns.
  • Administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures as needed.
  • Operate stationary equipment and/or portable equipment used in the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and at patient bedside.
  • Take pictures and develop film.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Utilize knowledge of age-specific needs of patients in performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Orient and mentor new staff members.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material.
  • Assist with transporting patients.
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements:
  • Technical or vocational training in radiologic technology.
  • At least 1 year of experience in radiologic technology.
  • MRT, BLS, and ARRT certifications, or be registry-eligible with the ARRT.
