Responsabilidades y Deberes Esenciales:
- Recopilar historiales médicos de los pacientes, realizar exámenes físicos y desarrollar una lista de diagnósticos diferenciales.
- Evaluar el estado físico y psicosocial de los pacientes mediante entrevistas, historial de salud, exámenes físicos y estudios diagnósticos.
- Solicitar e interpretar pruebas de laboratorio y datos radiológicos, diagnosticar y tratar enfermedades comórbidas dentro del alcance del diagnóstico hematológico/oncológico del paciente, realizar procedimientos según lo delegado por el médico asistente y prescribir medicamentos de acuerdo con las regulaciones federales y estatales.
- Determinar la elegibilidad de los pacientes para la entrada en ensayos clínicos basándose en los hallazgos.
- Evaluar la calidad de la atención proporcionada y recomendar cambios para mejorar.
- Iniciar acciones apropiadas para facilitar la implementación de planes terapéuticos que sean consistentes con las necesidades de atención médica continuas del paciente.
- Educar a los pacientes y sus familias sobre el proceso de la enfermedad y el tratamiento.
- Proporcionar información a los pacientes y sus familias relacionada con el manejo de síntomas y la respuesta psicosocial al diagnóstico de cáncer y tratamientos relacionados.

Fines de Semana: Este puesto participará con otros NP/PAs de la práctica en la cobertura de atención urgente durante los fines de semana, 3-4 veces al año, pagado a una tarifa premium.
- Se requiere licencia de Enfermero Practicante/Asistente Médico del Estado de Maine o la capacidad de obtenerla.

- Tres (3) años de experiencia en Oncología y Hematología.
- Se requiere título de Maestría.
- Se desea experiencia en Salud de la Mujer.
- Capacidad para colaborar con médicos, enfermeras y personal de apoyo.
- Capacidad para comunicarse con los pacientes de manera clara, concisa y compasiva.
