Job Overview:
The Direct Care Worker (DCW) is responsible for delivering personal care and companion services to clients in alignment with their care plans, enabling them to remain comfortably in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other hygiene needs. Support mobility through safe transfers and ambulation, and assist with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and respite for families, engaging clients in meaningful activities.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Medication Assistance: Support clients with medication management under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Completion of a state-approved Direct Care Worker or Home Health Aide training program
  • Good standing on the Pennsylvania Aide Registry
  • Minimum score of 80% on the competency exam
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
