Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Preoperative Nurse to join our team at Physicians Pavilion Surgery Center. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care rendered preoperatively for patients
- Prepare patient care areas adequately before cases
- Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for procedures
- Review patient charts for completeness prior to surgery
- Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing
- 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
- PALS certification required by facility within 30 days of hire
