We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist II to join our team at Advanced Psychiatry Associates. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will provide urgent response to youth and caregivers seeking assistance, utilizing your expertise in assessment, triage, and crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite phone triage and deescalation, as well as follow-up care to ensure increased safety, stability, and linkage to community health, educational, social, and mental health resources.
- Conduct clinical assessments and referrals, working closely with internal staff and external resources to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement safety plans, teaching basic coping skills and facilitating linkage to other providers and community resources.
- Participate in the program crisis on-call system, providing backup support to other staff as needed.
- Facilitate warm handoffs to county mobile response programs, ensuring seamless transitions of care.
- Complete required documentation for each client/family interaction, ensuring thorough and accurate data entry in identified call center software.
- Provide resources and referrals to youth and caregivers as needed, ensuring effective linkages with community and agency service providers.
- Master's degree in a behavioral science, registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a LCSW (ACSW), MFT (AMFT), or LPPC (APCC).
- One year of direct practice experience working with seriously disturbed children, adolescents, and families, with a focus on engaging parents as partners and working successfully with families from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.
- Valid driver's license and minimum insurance coverage, with a reliable vehicle for use in the course of employment.
