Electromechanical Assembler

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Electromechanical Assembler role encompasses the assembly and testing of battery cabinets, telecommunications, and various electrical apparatus. Responsibilities include adhering to safety protocols, assembly guidelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and protocols related to the production of quality goods.
  • Adhere to quality protocols involving calibrated tools, preventive maintenance equipment, handling of perishable materials, and defective items.
  • Precisely torque components as specified using properly calibrated instruments.
  • Accurately document meter readings, including voltage, to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Perform work safely and efficiently while meeting all quality benchmarks.
  • Complete assemblies within the standard lead time for workstations.
  • Conduct visual inspections of materials before and after assembly, including video and photographic documentation.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace according to housekeeping standards, including tool management.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative working relationships with all team members to promote a cohesive environment.
  • Ensure Work In Progress (WIP) areas are adequately stocked with necessary inventory.
  • Provide training to peers and offer constructive feedback to management regarding improvements, defective equipment, and safety issues.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with hand tools, multimeters, and power tools.
  • Understanding of basic safety regulations.
  • Professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Willingness to adapt to changes in assignments.
  • Comprehension of how individual work contributes to customer satisfaction.

Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Environment:

  • Primary – Factory Environment: Exposure to noise, heavy machinery, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Secondary – Warehouse Environment: Interaction with forklifts, manual material handling tools, dust, and heavy lifting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary, along with light bending and reaching.

Long-term position.

Compensation: $18.00/hr
