Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and caring for respiratory therapy patients, administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, and implementing and monitoring patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Provide respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures, and guidelines.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment, and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
