Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and uphold a clinical staffing strategy for direct reports, ensuring adequate nursing personnel to meet patient care requirements in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Offer leadership and guidance in alignment with hospital protocols and nursing philosophy.
  • Foster professional development among nursing staff by identifying training needs, creating individualized training plans, facilitating training programs, and promoting continuing education.
  • Continuously assess nursing staff performance and conduct regular evaluations for clinical direct reports.
  • Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and external health and social organizations to ensure efficient discharge planning and accurate patient histories at admission.
  • Regularly audit and review performance and documentation of direct reports for consistency and accuracy.
  • Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain continuity among nursing teams through effective documentation and communication.
  • Perform the duties of a registered nurse as necessary or during staffing shortages.
  • Mentor and orient new nursing staff.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by this position.

Qualifications:
