Position Overview

Role: Aqua Fitness Instructor

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Foothills Park & Recreation District is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Aqua Fitness Instructor who is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of individuals through engaging aquatic fitness programs. This role involves leading our specialized therapy pool group fitness sessions, along with various substitute teaching opportunities.

As an Aqua Fitness Instructor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and conducting safe, effective, and enjoyable group fitness classes tailored for participants of diverse fitness levels.
  • Fostering a welcoming and motivating environment for all attendees.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends in aqua fitness and implementing them in your classes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in aqua fitness instruction is highly desirable.
  • A current Aquatic Fitness Certification from a recognized national certifying body is required, with maintenance through Continuing Education Credits (CEC's).
  • Current CPR/AED certification is mandatory.
  • First Aid certification is an advantage.
