Key Responsibilities:- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising transaction-related documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and closing statements.
- Prepare and organize closing binders, ensuring all necessary documents are executed and properly filed.
- Coordinate and perform due diligence tasks, including title and survey review, and obtaining and analyzing zoning reports.
- Assist in the preparation and review of due diligence checklists and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Act as the point of contact between the legal team, clients, and third-party vendors.
- Organize and manage the closing process, including coordinating schedules, preparing closing documents, and managing the transfer of funds.
- Review closing documents for accuracy and completeness before execution.
- Manage post-closing tasks, such as ensuring all necessary recordings are completed, tracking post-closing obligations, and maintaining transaction files.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong proficiency with technology for managing real estate transactions, creating complex documents, and spreadsheets.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface with colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle sensitive information with discretion, and provide client service in a professional and calm manner.
- Ability to work effectively independently.
