Job Summary:

Doylestown Health seeks a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in our NICU, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, document, coordinate, and manage patient care according to department and hospital standards.
• Utilize leadership skills to effectively direct other nursing personnel and coordinate patient care as required by the Nurse Practice Act and department and hospital standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, physicians, and family members and other healthcare disciplines in achieving excellence in patient care during hospitalization and at discharge planning.
• Demonstrate competency in all interventions when administering physical and psychological care to patients according to department-specific skills checklist.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of State Bureau of Occupational and Professional Affairs.
• Successful completion of appropriate continuing education specific to job requirements.
• At least 2 years of full-time experience in a level 3 NICU required for new hires.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified in B.L.S. - C.P.R.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• STABLE and Cardiac STABLE strongly encouraged within two years.
• Certification in High Risk Neonate encouraged.
• Maintains cross-training skills to at least one other LDRP area such as well baby nursery.
