Network Administrator

The Leidos Network Support Specialist will coordinate with other NOC and Operational staff to lead and perform platform upgrades. This role requires the ability to work on-site in Washington, DC, and may involve shift work. The ideal candidate will develop technical resolution reports for critical outages in the Network and perform System patching and IAVA patches to network routers and switches.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performing System patching and IAVA patches to network routers and switches.
• Performing IOS and Software upgrades.
• Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
• Monitoring network performance, track usage and develop capacity planning reports.
• Making recommendations that enhance operational efficiencies for network monitoring, management, and overall engineering design data calls.
• Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
• Perform Network ticket resolution.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Must possess a Top-Secret / SCI eligible clearance (active and in-scope) with ability to obtain a polygraph before the first day of work.
• This contract and clearance requires US Citizenship.
• Meets DoD 8570 Certification IAT Level II requirements.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience managing and maintaining network monitoring systems.
• Experience with network engineering design.
