Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapy services to students with diverse needs during the summer months, supporting their ongoing development and progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students' physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop treatment plans and goals based on assessment results, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and student needs.
  • Provide Direct Occupational Therapy Services: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care tasks, and environmental adaptations.
  • Implement Therapeutic Activities: Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to enhance students' independence, functional skills, and overall participation.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure effective integration of therapy goals into the students' educational programs.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current License to Practice: Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Illinois.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Knowledge of Assessment Tools: Knowledge of assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.
  • Familiarity with IEPs: Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process, including collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
